We had the FKF Women Super Cup last weekend signalling the eve to the start of the Women’s League but now the long wait is finally coming to an end especially for the Kenya Women Football lovers.
A lt has been happening during the of season that we are now set to witness on board. To start with, we saw Kayole Starlet and Kisumu All Starlets get relegated to the newly formed tier , the Kenya Women National Super League. On the other hand we have also witnessed Thika Queens dissolve giving rise to Kenya Police Bullets Fc and shifting base from Thika Stadium in Kiambu to the Police Sacco Stadium in South B this brought down the Kiambu Deby creating the forces derby. On the other hand Kibera Soccer Women Fc are back into the league after being relagated in the 2020/2021 season and they come along with both Madira Soccer Assassins and Bungoma Queens.
The League will be composed of 12 teams ; Vihiga Queens (Defending Champions), Ulinzi Starlets, Nakuru City Queens, Zetech Sparks, Kibera Soccer Women Fc, Transnzoia Falcons, Bunyore Starlets, Wadadia, Bungoma Queens, Gaspo Fc, Kenya Police Bullets Fc and Madira Soccer Assassins.
The first round fixtures are slated for this weekend with the highlight being the clash between Vihiga Queens and Ulinzi Starlets. Below are the fixtures ;
