On Saturday the FKF WOMEN CUP entered the quarter finals stage and for the first time in history it was staged at the newly constructed Dandora Stadium with only one match being played away in Bungoma. The Saturday was then a good day for the defending champions as they played well and won their match to book a slot in the semi-finals. The Quarter finals hosted five FKF WOMEN PREMIER LEAGUE clubs that is; Kibera Soccer Women Fc, Bungoma Queens, Ulinzi Starlets who are the defending champions, Kenya Police Bullets Fc the premier league current league leaders and Zetech Sparks. One club in the Women Super League, Kangemi Ladies, One club in the Division One, Kisiwa Starlets and Milima Queens in the Regional league.
On the triple header staged at Dandora Stadium on Saturday, Kibera Soccer Women Fc hosted Bungoma Queens on a 10:00 am fixture. Kibera seemed composed at the environment and well executed their playing style which saw them get their first goal through their striker Nancy Atako. Lucky Achando and Maximila Robi also scored a goal each while they were reduced to ten players as their goal stopper Lucy Kisaga was red carded for handling the ball outside the box. Kibera advance to the semi finals.

In the second match defending champions Ulinzi Starlets played host to Milima Queens from Trans Nzoia a team that is majorly composed of students from Wiyeta Girls High School the region soccer queens. The young girls seemed excited to play on the tough and this in a way added up to their morale as they played so well to defend against an experienced military side who were mourning the passing on of the departed Military General. Ulinzi opened the match goals via a goal through Everline Juma agoal which Milima queens struggled to equalize but before actualizing their efforts, Neddy was fouled inside the box, the referee awarded Ulinzi a penalty which Fasila Adhiambo stepped up an converted into a goal. The second half was less of a show as no goal was witnessed ensuring Ulinzi the rights to match on to the semis.

The third and final match of the day saw Kenya Police Bullets Fc host Kangemi Queens at a 4 pm fixture. Police easily overpowered Kangemi with their prowess as they netted in two nice goals in the first half, one a screamer from Lydia Akoth and the second one a goal from Lucy Kwekwe who again netted in the second half minutes after which striker Rebecca Okwaro netted n the fourth. Kangemi ensured a tears wiper through Naomi Ongachi but it was not enough effort to salvage them from being bundled out. Police joined the other two premier league clubs onto the next stage.

On Sunday Zetech Sparks were hosted by Kisiwa Starlets at Sudi Stadium. The Coach Kitolo side seemed to have traveled all the way to stamp authority in Bungoma as they walloped the division one team thoroughly. Despite the rains being witnessed , the sparks opened up a heavy downfall of goals as Beverline Adika scored twice, Violet Otieno scored twice while Sheril Chaviva, Fridhaus Abdalla, Ordia Christabel and Anna Arusi netted in a goal each. Zetech again advances to the next tougher round.
