FKF Premier League leaders Kenya Police Bullets FC extended their lead on the log as they welcomed Bunyore Starlets to a 4-0 thrash at the Kenya School of Government Grounds on Sunday 2 February 2025.

Bullets had another good day as they rattled 4 goals past Bunyore Starlets to stay on top of the table. A brace from Rebecca Okwaro and a goal from Diana Wacera and Emily Moranga ensured the maximum points for the Bullets.

The match started on the right gear with Bunyore struggling to adapt to the tempo. No sooner had they come to terms, Diana Wacera netted the opening goal in the 12th minute to give the Beldine Odemba-coached side the lead.

Barely 12 minutes after Bunyore stabilized and guarded themselves to come back into the game, Bullet’s current top scorer Rebecca ‘Becky’ Okwaro rose to the stage and slotted in her first in the match and a second for Bullets. However, she did not allow the rowdy Bullets fanatics enough time to celebrate as she braced up in the 28th minute confirming reasons she was leading the team from the front. The match went to break with Police Bullets FC leading 3-0.

Coming back from halftime, it seemed the break Bunyore needed as they appeared more composed, cautious, and understanding of what needed to be done. They sat back more compactly preventing more damage although their forward was blunt to grant them a consolation. With two minutes to full time, substitute Emily Moranga confirmed her presence by netting the fourth goal for the law enforcers.

Young Bullets Vidah Okeyo and Rebecca Odato impressed the Bullets fans as they awarded them with new cleats while Eunice Mwangi was named the Player of the Match and received a monetary award.

The Rebecca Okwaro brace takes her to a double lead on the top scorers chart alongside Bungoma Queens striker Cathy Khaemba.

After the match, Police Bullets FC gifted soccer balls to Bunyore Starlets to support them in their remaining matches.

Bullets FC remains on top of the table with 28 points, three points ahead of Kibera Soccer Women FC who are placed second but with a game at hand.
