A second leg worth remembering failed to turn tables around for the rising starlets as they got bundled out of the qualifiers in a 2-6 aggregate to sail to the next stage.

It all started with a tough outing in Cameroon in the first leg as the rising starlets lost 3-0 to the hosts. Rising Starlets played Cameroon in the second leg of the FIFA U20 World Cup qualifier at the Nyayo National Stadium in a match that ended Kenya u20 (2-3) Cameroon u20.

Away in Cameroon the starlets lost 3-0 and coming back they needed to four goals to outshine Cameroon on aggregate but the now visitors seemed a hard nut to crack especially from their experienced side. On the other hand the starlets lacked a number of their key players who are sitting for the National Exam including their captain Jane Hato.

At Nyayo Stadium fans turned up to support the girls but Cameroon were the first to draw blood in the first half with Charity Midewa coming in to restore parity right into the second half of the match. It did not last long as Cameroon were awarded a penalty which they scored and later again strike to score the third goal. Charity Midewa again struck the second goal to try bring back the starlets into the game. The match ended 2-3 in favor of Cameroon sailing them through while sending the starlets home on their own soil.
