It was a weekend full of football being displayed with nice results coming along except for the miss of football at the Bungoma Queens home in Sudi Stadium.
A full pack Saturday saw the last seasons runners up, Gaspo Women Fc, host the defending champions Vihiga Queens at the Stima Members Club. The visitors showed no mercy by walloping the hosts by two goals with the marauding Janet Moraa Bundi scoring all the goals to ensure the Queens maintain the slot at the top of the table. In another match played on the same day, Kenya Police Bullets Fc played host to the Mumias based Wadadia Fc at the Police Stadium. The bullets came gun blazing putting in three times past Wadadia Fc who only managed to answer back once with the host winning 3-1 at Full Time.
Sunday came a bee hive of matches despite only one walkover. Ulinzi Starlets coming from a 5-0 win in Nakuru were visitors to Kibera Soccer Women Fc who were also in from a 2-1 away win against Wadadia Fc in Mumias. The match started on a high with the military sending in shots in attack for a goal but Kibera were holding on well in defense forgetting they were playing the countries defense forces team.
In the 45+1 minute Neddy Atieno broke through Kibera defense to break the deadlock forcing the match to head into half time with Ulinzi leading by a solitary goal. Kibera needed the 15 minutes rest so as to back with enough energy to terrorize the military side, they seemed to have gotten well the instructions from their coach as they came back to detonate Ulinzi. They also made two substitutes introducing in their long time missed midfielder Maximilla Robi forcing Ulinzi Starlets coach Wambui to make substitute to counter the introduction. The changes seemed to favor Kibera as they then came to level the scores from a Lilian Mmboga well taken long range free kick . Kibera again enjoyed two goal scoring moments with the post and center back saves coming to the Ulinzi starlets rescue. Ulinzi on the other hand also saw another goal scoring moment but the Kibera goal keeper Vivian Shiyonzo coming to their rescue. The match ended 1:1 .
Transnzoia Falcons failed to travel to Bungoma to play Bungoma Queens hence a walkover was issued.
