Kenya Women Premier League Round Three Pool of Results.

It was a weekend full of highlights in the round three fixtures. Massive individual goals being scored as we witnessed teams being walloped a lot of goals as well.

Saturday saw only one fixture with the defending champions Vihiga Queens being held to a 1-1 draw by Kenya Police Bullets Fc. The match was played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Veteran striker Tumaini Waliaula opened the scores for the Queens with only 5 minutes gone into the second half only for Mercy Njeri to level the scores 3 minutes later for the Bullets . Both teams would then play cautiously to share a point each.

Sunday would then host 5 fixtures, very amazing fixtures. Newbie, Kibera Soccer Women Fc traveled to Mumias Complex and won 2:1 harvesting the first maximum points for themselves against Wadadia Fc. Gaspo Women Fc enjoyed played at home as they hosted the incomers Bungoma Queens. They won the match with a solitary goal courtesy their goal keeper’s assist.

Three of the Sunday fixtures had an avalanche of goals. Zetech Sparks scored 4 times against the visitors Bunyore Starlets. Two of their rising starlets players who made their debut were all on the scoresheet as Anna Arusi scored a hat trick to go home with the match ball as Rebecca Kwoba scored once to make the goals 4 for the Coach Benard Kitolo based side. In another match played at the Ndura Sports Complex in Kitale saw the Soccer Assassins assassinate Transnzoia Falcons by 5 goals to nil. Again the rising starlets striker and captain were on the forefront in their debut match. The goal poacher Valerie Nekesa netted 4 times while captain Jane Hato scored a goal to total it to 5 goals. In the last match pitting Nakuru City Queens and Ulinzi Starlets played at the Nakuru ASK Grounds, the military side came blazing into the match with the marauding striker Neddy Atieno scoring a brace, Lucy Nato also cored a brace whike Rita Ojwang came off the bench to make it 5 goals.
